hi will the supercharger run without a tune at least for a week or two.Only because i will be needing a custom tune as it is straight gas.

Have you ever tried this before tim did it run way to lean?.And i dont wont the tuners getting the pleasure of fitting the supercharger at a cost.I love doing these things as a weekend project :D thanks

You can fit the blower but retain the factory belt, when you take it in to have it tuned I'm sure they wont be able to charge you labour for swapping the belt.

So after reading this i assume the factory airbox won't fit back in car with this kit

Is this right?

Yes,the blower sits in most of where it used to be,but i look at it this way.
I lost an airbox but gained almost 100FWKW's of seamless grunt.
Fair exchange i reckon.

Not sure whether there is any BA 6 SC kit on the market that will connect to the stock airbox ........

On stock airboxes, its not unusual for a stock airbox to kill power potential by up to 50% since the charger can't pull enough air through stock box, this comment is not to say the BA airbox specifically can't do it but rather its often the case with stock airboxes.

I tell the Lion team they can use the stock airbox on their V6's but expect 50 - 60% power loss, they quickly forget about hooking up to stock air boxes then :D

Hey Tim thanx again for selling me the best bang for buck i ever spent on a Ford.
I got 220KW's at the wheels, for a bit over 5K, untuned (SOON) and i'm havin' a ball and with Winter coming on my licence may take a hit.
Again THX.

Thats no good, know the feeling of an even bigger hit than that but they swept in under the carpet due to a a change of staff within the force so I came out clean. Happens easy enough tho

Hey there, i didnt realise you were from Mackay to. I have 04 xr6 BA and t5 waiting to go into a EB, and for ages iv been tossing up between turbo or blower, iv finally made up my mind to go with a blower. As iv been trying to do stacks of research on all the different bolt on blowers out there, iv made up my decision and iam really keen to go with your product (raptor). Iv read a few threads on here of people that have gone with you and they all seem happy and have been stoked with the power. So my questions for you are as followed:
* With the raptor am i able to add a intercooler down the track to increase a bit more power?
* Iam not to familiar with tuning but is that all down in house? or is it a simple DIY.
* Would i need a aftermarket ecu or a piggy back chip (if so do you have any recommendations?)
* And finally with the raptor sc, with the T5 would you recommend upgrading the clutch or the stock one should hold the power.

Thanks champ, iv got my ride being painted with in a few weeks, so once it comes back to the garage ill place the BA 6 in her and will have to contact you for a charger. Thanks for your time, regards Jared.

Jared

* With the raptor am i able to add a intercooler down the track to increase a bit more power? Yes, would recommend WTA unit, no pressure drop and still excellent performance
* Iam not to familiar with tuning but is that all down in house? or is it a simple DIY. We normally go generic but since Mackay is the home of the greatest Ford tuner in Australia you could sign up for a custom tune with Dave Sheedy (via PRE)
* Would i need a aftermarket ecu or a piggy back chip (if so do you have any recommendations?) Will reflash your stock computer
* And finally with the raptor sc, with the T5 would you recommend upgrading the clutch or the stock one should hold the power. The tranny should be fine and get a strong clutch :D
