Well, last weekend I managed to stuff the BA up bad enough that the cost to fix would out weigh it's value. Decided I'd scrap the car, and save the money up for my opens to get an F6 or a 5.0L SC GS.

But since then, I've changed my mind (as you do lol).

Decided that I want to stay N/A, as it removes the urge to go super fast and wrap myself around a pole.

Went searching all around Brisbane for an FG XR6 with 6sp manual, only to find that no one had one in N/A form. So there went that idea. On my last stop, I spotted a Silver Strike 08 G6E in immaculate condition. Only little niggle was the tiniest bit of gutter rash on the front right rim, which you had to look quite closely at too see.

Anyways, filled out all the paperwork over the afternoon after taking it for a test drive. Hopefully picking it up on Monday afternoon :D

No pictures as of yet, but will post up as soon as possible :)

Stock if I recall. Tyre size is 235/60/17, if that's any help lol

Should of gotten photos, but I guess I'll get some Monday night :)

Was so smooth during the test drive, and a lot quieter than even my Cruze... which I was quite surprised about.

I love the G6E rims, though I think I'm looking at the G6ET ones. I'd defs take them off your hands when you upgrade lol

Man or 6spd auto?

@ Fordaute, it's the 6sp auto. Could not find a single N/A FG 6 in manual :(

@ Uniacidz, I can't get a turbo or V8 until August 2014 lol but I know first hand how fast the turbo models, as I got to drive one on my L's.

Switch this conversation onto here from the SE QLD thread... Sounds good, I'm thinking I'll hold off on the fg till I get the foundation sorted. So I'll be doing much the same. Maybe get some bulk buy deals lol :)

I like the idea of bulk buying haha saves you coin which is a great thing :P

So far, looked at RDA slotted with bendix GCT pads. For front and rear It's going to be just over $300.
Sway bars are about $600 for both.
Bonnet Bulge is about $450 unpainted.

And I've yet to look at coilovers, as they will be further on down the track.

As mentioned before, I'm going to leave the performance for a while. I still have the pacey 4495's, and also the underdrive kit, both of which fit the FG, which is a bonus. Neither of those will add a substantial amount of power.

I'll be all about the above... Was pretty much my plan except for the bulge. I would need to have an engine to back up that bulge before I could justify that.
Maybe get a bit of a bargain.
Then catch up to you with the under drive, exhaust and headers. I need to change it front stock so bad... Getting over not feeling like my old xr :(

Where did you get your turbo catback from? Might just go with that for exhaust. Of course, I'd only go 100cpsi for the cat lol

I noticed that one. I'd rather a twin 2.5" in mild steel, can't beet the sound it produces lol

Yeah I'm worried about losing compression and having that horrible noise... But I don't know. Exhaust minus the headers and cat isn't that expensive. So might do that for the time being.
Use the xr6t cat and try find a cheap set of headers.

I've got the 4495's already, hence why I don't mind going twin 2.5", as low down torque will still be higher due to the 4495's. I think I might just go with a single 2.5" for the time being, but go with 2 mufflers. Only had 1 muffler on the BA, and it was a tad too loud for my liking.
