i think the front has been lowered a bit
 um it hasn't got the dodgy tape deck or 6 cd stacker, it has a new cd player and UHF radio installed.. chrome handbrake button but no chrome shifter button.... was told that it may have an XR6 engine in it not sure Tickford head.. not sure what else  |

Look for a Yellow tag on the Diff housing, its on the top on the right hand side.
Having this doesn't mean it has LSD, but it denotes it has a 4 pinion diff centre being 'high performance) if its a series 2 Fairmont Ghia, it should have XR running gear. If it has a Tickford head, then its a XR engine. (blocks are the same just head,cam,springs, fuel reg etc) ECU should be tuned for the XR Engine but retains a comfort shift being a Fairmont. Throw up the manufacture date/basic info and we should be able to tell you what you have exactly. also: Welcome to FM.

If it's a 96, it's a series 2. So it should have all the good bits. Throw some pics up. Welcome!

I do have some pictures i tried adding one onto here but it didnt work... they are in the gallery if you would like to look..
i haven't got a picture of the engine though, and yes its a series 2.. |

Btw you have normal fairmont wheels. i realise that... we should get some DeLorean wheels or something  hasn't had much done to it after we bought it (on the 2/7/10) because after the first big drive we took it on, it had a bit of trouble.. (not sure, ask my dad).. and then it was taken to be repaired, but then the second big-ish drive the welsh plugs started leaking... so, it was in the shed until late last month.. so yeah... |

I meant it has EF Fairmont wheels, not EF Fairmont Ghia wheels.
