thanks jeff,

i have heard of AFPR with output for a gauge. have you heard of these?

and excuse my ignorance, but where is the shrader valve on the fuel rail?

in your opinion do you think these fuel upgarde mods are worth it. my engine mods consist of:

GT40X ported heads
ported explorer intake + K&N filter
1/2" spacer intake
Comp XE270HR cam
Pacemaker headers
2.5" dual exhaust w/X-pipe
Ford flashed

only managed 178rwkw, but this was without the new exhaust. car is auto.

since installing the new exhaust i have noticed it goes a bit better, but idles rougher when cold (i guessing a bit lean cause of increased flow). i will get it re-tuned when all these fuel upgrade bits go on. I have been quoted around $900 for a tune (Bart Brothers in Karratha) is this right? they said it was an all day job, and have to start from scratch, as the current tune MAP cannot be just altered.

cheers mate

All AFPR have outputs for a guage but because they are all designed for US 5.0's the positioning of the output fouls on our manifolds.
Schrader valve is located and very front, drivers side corner of the fuel rail. Looks like a tyre valve.
With those mods i would definately reccomend an AFPR and Walbro pump. But to see if the bigger fuel pump is actually neccessary get it on a dyno and check AFR's.

Sounding good Tony.
I like the idea of Super Victor and the 1000cfm T/B and solid cam. The cam specs are in good hands with Leon.
Should just buy Leons car ;)

im aiming for 600hp to the flywheel, the hardest part is working out which manifold to use.

I would reccomend the trickflow 351 box R for the 427. Has a 90mm TB and 8 beautiful trumpets. I have mine but due to lack of funds, my 427 has yet to have a spanner turned on it.
So far i have 9.5 iron eagle block, Trickflow 225 twisted wedge heads. 9.5:1 pistons, H beam rods and scat crank.
Goodluck, I think you should see 600hp atfw easily
Brett

Some from me, some from wholesalers. It comes down to $$$ in the end, I'm having a healthy debate with one of our suppliers atm but I won't launch into that here.. ;)

Good Stuff Tony.

Really looking forward, those heads are a work of art and with 7 litres on board it should make mince meat out of the toughest street cars out there.

Cheers again for the motor. :)
