Cheers guys for the comments.

I have been working on a couple of projects over the last few weekends. I finally got it all finished on Sunday.

A BIG thanks goes out to snap0964 for his time and assistance with both projects.

These photos do not do justice to the amount of work that goes into getting it to work properly.

Yep, that is an NF Fairlane cluster. There is a fair bit of work needed to be done.

I had to make up an adapter loom to plug into my existing adaptor loom for the normal guages to work. And the doors were disassembled and the Lane Door Switches plugged in to the door locks. We ran wires out through the factory door looms and while it was apart, added plugs for the other mod. I then ran wires from the doors around the car to the cluster for the door ajar function to work. It is soooo cool watching the doors, fuel flap and bootlid symbols light up.

The other mod was adding Ghia Door Lamps to the doors. I have to say that this is one of the most practical mods I have done. The lights really make a difference at night.

These photos also showed the Fairlane armrest on the drivers door, and the rear map pockets.

Other bits and pieces added include EL rear window switches (grey) and an EL cupholder, power window switch. The grey is a lighter colour than my old EF one and matches the console much better.

Here are some overall shots of the interior as it is now.

There are still plenty of mods to come, including some added ventilation to the bonnet, something for my left foot to do, and some additional poke for the EL engine.

Cheers
BenJ

Hi All

Matt, nope, it is busted.

There is still plenty more things to change, enhance or customise. And with my budget (whatever I can hide without my wife findingout - very little) by the time I finish, some of the old stuff will need looking at again.

You call getting a Lane a step up? I say it is a step back, to the slow lane. hahahahahaha

Look forward to seeing you at the AFD NCIILane.

And thanks Huggie

BenJ
