after owning a Ute for the last 3yrs i finally found myself in need of a family car and after searching i found this
a manual 1992 eb gli. with the already usual mods 2.5in cat back exhaust slammed on super lows on the front and ultra lows on the rear

which was a great car for all about 12 days where a motorcycle decided he wanted to cross paths on the highway

which was the end of the white falcon, but after chasing insurance companies for 6months i got this a 1993 black pearl eb series 2 XR6

i like the xr6 better as well ef wannbe. the gli was good for the t5 and the previous owner put a 3.45lsd in it. so when the insurance company told me the scrap metal value was only $100 i kept it. for a few items lol. got to love the black pearl.

some plans are already getting in motion like fairmont door trims with electric windows. already put on a tow bar. and removed the mud flaps. but at the moment. i want to get it tidy. fix a few things. and then who knows. but after having a look through your thread benj you have given me alot of inspiration for it

Lol yeah, my missus was washing her car this arvo and she asked me whether I was going to wash mine. I said no, as it will just be dirty tomorrow morning.

It is annoying when you spend money on a car and then it gets written off. My EL that I drove into a river had brand new tyres and a new battery. But, I am glad I had the chance to get a black boxcar! :D

Yours looks alright from the photos. The clear isn't peeling on the roof like mine lol.

I will be travelling to QLD and back in a couple of weeks in the wagon.

I intend to come home via the coast so a stop in Grafton might be doable.

I would be going through between 11am and 12pm, and would be needing a bit of a break.

Let me know if you want to say hi.

We can swap phone numbers etc.

Cheers
BenJ

That sounds like a good plan Benj wouldn't mind picking you brain ;). not to mention a good look at the wagon

Evxr6. the body is pretty straight just a few things, like somebody tried to rip the spoiler off without reali it bolts through :(

needing a new bumper where it got attacked in the car park, and a tiny bit of rust appearing on the passenger sill.
progress
have made heaps of use from this site already, and booted the clock for a trip computer, love the distance to empty feature just curious how accurate are they?
also from my other topic raised, have acquired another front bumper, filled all the big scratches and blemishes. all undercoated with a fresh guide coat applied for final sand before painting.

pic time

unfortunately its not letting me upload pics. so i will upload later.

For photos, I use Photobucket.

It is free and is easy to link to your photos from the thread.

I will PM you my mobile number soon.

Recently i got pulled over by the boys in blue for a RBT, and after having a good look over my car, i got informed that i wasn't suppose to have extractors on the car been a p plater. so to remedy this

Image

it now has a AU heat shield which cover the extractors completly and gives it a nice stock look :)

after giving it a service i noticed that the hoses were kinda average so on went new hoses and this

Update when more happens
