You get under the brake pedal pull off the yellow clip . Pull the pedal off the pin and take of the switch . Take note when ur taking it off as it goes on a certain way .

Probably best to buy a new brake switch as they are a common problem . Only $15 from autoshops

fkn hell man i put it all back together and start the car and now theres a hissing sound coming from the top right hand corner of the heater box.any ideas?

Yeah mate you've got a vacuum leak . Or u didn't connect up a vacuum line .
Did u connect up the one under the dash u cut ?

yeah i did its coming from the other side from where i cut it.and i went for a drive and the steering is really hard once i turn about 50degress left or right it goes completely stiff and locks need help!!

If I was you I would be pulling the dash back out again and double checking everything. Did you make a note of what went where when you pulled it apart?

Sorry mate forgot to post lol Steering issue will be u didn't put back in the steering column correctly . Is it aligned ? Did u put back in the clip ?

hahaha i dont know man i think its just something in my head that makes me think its stinks lol yeah i dont have a clue how it works man.how to you put it in place properly? i didnt take the steering column out just dropped it to the floor.i thiink maybe it could be bent bcos when i lower the steering wheel it doesnt lock only when i lift it and then turn.tripping me out

Hmm try dropping it then giving it a wriggle then put it back up . You could of pulled it out of place .
