Does anyone know if a Ed dash assembly will fit into a EL body? As my dash was burned to a crisp before I got it, I'll want to replace it. I want a ED as they don't have airbags in them. Or is there a EL Dash that dosen't have airbags in the dash?

EF/EL GLi dash doesnt have the airbags. either do the futura.. unless optioned.

but yes the ED dash will still bolt in but a pain to get the electrics working with the cluster. stick to the loom type

Ok the 418w block arrived this morning, so i'll be able to start assembly of it on the weekend. BTW, does anybody have a EA -> EL dash that they want to sell to me? Don't care about the wiring as it will be entirely stripped out.

Some more news, I'm getting my heads & intake manifold for the engine next week.
The heads and manifold are CHI

Went to ronza's place yesterday and purchased a spoiler off him for $40. Very happy how it turned out on the car

Image

I also removed the dash out the car and started to remove the aircon stuff behind the dash

Image

Also got the car to run without the dash by putting the wiring back in.

Felpro, p/n 1616, should do the job for you. VPW or Eagle should have them. 8-)
