You could port it yourself. I have seen articles that suggest that polishing a port is only good for top end power, lower down you want it ever so slightly rough to keep the air moving enough to keep the fuel atomized in it.

On the other hand, some ppl say that effect doesn't make enough difference to bother about, and to smooth the ports out. Porting the head will increase it's flow, and can make a good difference. I had the cylinder head for my mighty boy ported when i had it rebuilt, and it was well worth the money.

If your feeling game, i would play with porting a stock head first, get a bit of practice, then port the tickford head. Otherwise, a cyl head workshop shouldn't charge too much, i paid $30 per port.

Cheers

Yeah i might leave it as is, not really worth it i suppose with just a cam.
Not planning on making stupid power figures anyway.
On the plus side i got my extractors fitted about half an hour ago.
I thought there would be little to no difference as their only genies but i can honestly say after 3 grand it goes easily no exaggeration twice as hard to 5 grand. It feels like a just threw a cam in seriously i don't know why no extractors I've had have made as much difference as these at the moment lol.

My Eb I6 Ghia responded like that when i fit the pacemakers to it. Was a worthwhile upgrade, that's for sure. When you have the cam done, extra port work will give you a bit more, but for the moment it's probably not worth it, the stock ports can flow well according to JMM.

Cheers
