Okay
 , just rang Haltech direct over east and they did confirm that the E11 will control dual vct.......just not the BA  .
Guess i'm going to have to wait for Atomic to release their vernier cam gears

Better you know now than after you pay for it.
You dont want an autronic? They require you to cut 3 teeth off of each cam but that doesnt look hard. |

the vct doesn't actually do that much for performance. it delivers some lower end torque but it is mostly there for exhaust valve overlap to help control emissions etc. Ive driven several ba's with the vct disconnected and the stll drive fine. and if you get the cam gears from atomic you can lock them in place and you really wont feel the difference.
Im still working on getting the vct to work in mine mostly because i want the bragging rights lol. But if i cant it doesn't really bother me if i loose some loser end torque, my garret 35/40 will make up for it

Yair, i can't wait till this is finished, im having major accelleration withdrawls, the 2.4L Rodeo just issn't cutting it haha.
But as far as wiring goes, if i can get these cam gears, it's going to make thing's sooooo much simpler. It seems theres alot of ECU's out there that will control VCT, just not BA DOHC VCT. Theres several advantages to having a BA DOHC engine, for starters the engine is so much newer, better balanced, coil on plug and twin cams and 24 valves so it breathes better (better for turbo applications) to name just a few improvements. Might have a go at cutting out the bonnet today, and make up a bracket for the accellerator cable. |

An XF throttle body and bracket will make things easier.
I was using the XF t/b and an EA-ED throttle cable. Not sure how it would go with the cruise control though. |

why not just run the factory ecu???
some tuners i heard can decativate things like smartsheild, abs, traction control etc

Yeah cruise is the biggest headache at the moment, you can't just put a new cable onto the module, it's all incorporated.
Have you got any pictures of how you set up the throttle on your old EA? |

What about running the instrumentation, transmission, ABS, climate control etc? EDIT: Or a better question, how do i tie in the BA ecu to the EL ecu? |
