Alright will have to look into it abit more. Will be tossing up between the 2020, 2030 and TFS stg 1(221/225, .499"/.510").

What do you think about the rest of the combo?
Would you recommend tweecer or capa chip?

One thing im worried about is the t5 holding up.

tweecer or capa depends on your budget and whether u want to do any tuning yourself.. capa chip is 700 dorra, and tweecer for your car would be 900 ish. tweecer u can DIY tune if u want tho, whereas capa is only tunable with paid dyno time. also ud need to check for compatibility with pete aka xr9ute for the tweecer..

yeh id be looking at either the tfs or the 2030.. 2020 too small for the heads imo.. gimme a few days, ill punch the numbers into desktop dyno n we see wot the power/torque curves mite look like.

as far as the t5 goes, i cant speak for it as i dont have one, but damon aka kilma has a t5 in his supercharged xr8, pulling just off 300rwhp. thats holding up, but thats because he doesnt abuse it..

Yup. It has held on well for a bit over 2 years now. I do abuse it, just not all that often. :D

Gimme a yell when you get it sorted, and we will head down to the drags and I'll show you I do abuse it every now and then. :P

Alright got myself a set of 24lb injectors off an AU. I take it these are the ev6 type plug?
Is there a plug adapter to go from ev1 to ev6?

I dont think it would be due to coilpacks on the au, maybe?
Will talk to Terry at BPT and ask him.

Ok guys, Update here.

Money has been in the bank for about a week now, have also had a nice long discussion about the combo and tuning etc with terry from BPT. So will be gathering the parts over the next couple of weeks and i'll throw up some pics when i get them. I've decided i wont be fittin the heads etc myself i will be gettin Terry to do that as he has offered to do so at a good price. So the motor will be coming out and goin to terry's shop for him to fit up all the goodies then coming back to me to drop it back in then back off to Terry for tuning.

Will keep posted.

Jeff

Okay thought i would just post up whats on the shopping list so far.

-AFR 165cc Alloy heads
-Crane 2040 or FMS F303 cam
-Yella Terra Stealth 1.6 Adj R/rockers
-Rollmaster Premium timing chain kit
-Powerbond Street Balancer
-ARP Head stud kit
-Gaskets - Head, Inlet, exhaust, timing cover, water pump, sump, rocker cover, t/b etc.
-Seals - Front timing cover/crank, rear main
-Core plug kit
-Mellings oil pump
-8 x EV1 to EV6 injector adapters
-Tweecer or capa eliminator + tuning

Trying to get some time off work so i can chase up all these parts. Startin to get excited as i know im gettin close.
Also terry reccomended while the sump etc is to spin in some new crank bearings providing the crank journals measure up ok, what are your thoughts on this?

Will keep posted.

Yeah there might be another difference as i MAY be going stud mount heads and rockers.
What injectors and tune are you running?
Also did you change any bearings and oil pump etc while it was all out.

I think it will be good to compare results with the T5 vs T56 and the difference in cam and tune.

I cant wait, and Dave from A1hiperformance has been an awesome help.
