After selling the Fairlane and now the Landcruiser I went on a bit of a holiday from Fordmods but I have returned with my new toy. Its a 2001 AU XR8 Pursuit 5 speed manual with around 223000km on the clock. Dual exhaust from front to back, custom tray, 18" wheels, lowered. Well the photos tell a story themselves showing the amount of work that has gone into it without me drumming off a massive list. Will post up some more pics after of the interior and the Windsor goodness.

Cheers, Justin

Wheels look good and I like the custom tail lights.

Any engine work?

Its totally stock running gear wise other than the twin pipes, Im not to sure what else can be done to these motors as im used to the E Series boat anchor V8 that requires everything to help it go so if anyone can recommend what else can be done for sure help us out. Yeah SWC timber deck, its needs sanding back and a new coat of stain thrown on but will be done for AFD, doesnt need to much else I think because its pretty much all been done.

Not sure about the timber on the top section, i dont quite mind the painted diamond plate but see how I go. BennyD i thought the same thing when the bloke was telling me about it but it indeed is a AUII XR8 Pursuit utility, has extra skirts on the bodykit and a few other items that didnt see the XR8.

Went past u the other night. U were parked on the side of Terry street. With a car trailer or something ??
I don't mind the angle eyes. Was thinking about doing it to my XR6
Btw it looks good.
And yes there was a AU pursuit ute.
On the skirts it would have pursuit 250 but as yours is a tray so wont have it.

I would of been dropping off the box trailer I had on... Its a shame because its got the high beams with the angel eyes but im having issues finding a ring big enough to suit the low beam, hopefully I can find some because they look really good in the dark! Ive never been a big fan of the AU series but when I saw this and the way shes setup that totally changed everything. Will be good to get out there a start meeting some members on some meets now.

FPV wasn't around for AU's, Tickford did the AU's. FPV came along with the BA onwards.

What is the build number of you ute?

I had a look on eBay there are lots of different sized angel eyes ranging from 40mm,50,60,80,90,100,120. Definatly doing this mod. I didn't know u could buy them as a 'ring'
I thought they only came in a strip and you'd have to make a ring.
It will be as easy as getting the correct ring size then double side taping it to the head lamp.

AU had XR8, XR8 Pursuit, and XR8 Pursuit 250. Tickford did the Pursuit name in 2000 IIRC.
