Okay, so I took out all my seats... all the boot trim... boot and body carpet and looked for the connector. Not there. Started picking the looms in various points and the wire's not there. The weird thing is neither was the speaker wires, I had to run some from the front a while ago... yet the boot wire is there and it works fine.

Uhm, got the solenoid for the fuel filler flap so I'm going to wire that up tommorow.

ya shouldn't have to wire anything there is a loom folded up tucked underneath the carpet i think it is a blue plug... that is the loom that plugs to the solinoid

Under the carpet inside the car or inside the boot? :)

I had a quick look at my old EB GLI loom, and there is nothing there. This may be something the GLI looms didn't have in EB?

Thats funny as my EBII GLi had the plug and so did my mates ED GLi. Was as simple as plugging in the swtich in the dash and the solenoid in the boot, and swapping the latch tang on the fuel flap.

Today I got the rest of the EF interior trimmings in, a and c pillar trims etc. Also finally found a half decent replacement door mirror at the wreckers so I could get rid of the EA one... the interior is slowly getting there.

To do

Interior: A good quality steam clean, colour matched EB/EL Console hybrid, New carpet, complete ED dash and a Momo Race steering wheel.

Airconditioning: Need the low pressure hoses, the condenser, the evaporator and I'm going to get the high pressure hoses replaced with a custom line. Then just seals and gassing. This wont be done until the dash.

Exterior: I need to get the paint buffed and the bumpers colour matched, also need to get the EF/EL fuel door colour matched.

OTHER: I really need a new exhaust, also want a set of 18" Speedy Inferno's. Also some other things I'm probably forgetting.

My hours have been scaled back at work and I had yesterday and today off, bad news right? Not if I was able to get in and get some work done on my car YAY!

So yesterday I got the wire run through under the boot under the carpet and up under the dash for the fuel door release solenoid, pop riveted the correct latch onto the original door and DOING... I was happy, but not as happy as I'd be when I get the EF/EL fuel door painted for it.

Then I started threading in new pins for the TCM bypass and finished up at 4pm as it wasn't really worth doing more.

Today, I soldered up the TCM wires and connected it all up with a couple of wire joiners to test... reconnected the battery, reset the ecu.. limp home mode. :(

Found that I'd left one wire unconnected, the solenoid power *cough*, after that mishap I took it for another test. WOOOOO runs great, and the best part is the downshift clunk that it had is gone (why I finally got around to bypassing the tcm in the first place)

Now I have to just solder it all up and the weekend will be left for finishing off the door trims and installing the reconditioned tibbe locks.

Now for the things that are pissing me off, but I don't have the money to fix at the moment.

Scratch on the left hand front wheel arch... I didn't do this, it was already there
Image

Little bit of faded paint/blemish on the roof
Image

This one however was my fault, I'm going to need to get the sill repainted I think.
Image

While I get that repainted, I want to get my grille done...
Image

And my front bumper is in a bad way, with gouges in the plastic and a split, so I'll probably get a new front bar and get the hole from the towbar plastic welded in the rear bar then get both colourmatched.,, unless someone knows of where to find a good set of C**k (paint code L7) bumpers.
Image

Plus many other little stonechips and scratches, all which would come out as soon as I get it buffed.

My dash, as well as the evaporator core, are next on my hitlist.
Image

And the number one thing that is pissing me off... *drumroll*
Image

Thankfully they're gone in December when I turn 25.

Nice pics.

The EF/EL trims is always a great way to make the car look better.

Atleast your car only needs touchups on the paint, my paint is so f**k.

Nice work man.

Huzzah's are in order :D

Just got back from having two new front struts put in (BOGE) and also some superpro bushes on the swaybar and the swaybar links.

Drives like its on rails. :D

The nuts part is that I had previously been driving the car for about a month or two since the d***head at Autoleaders Beenleigh stuck the right front shock... and Grahame at G&D Suspension at Beenleigh was shocked (hehe)
when he pulled the right strut out and it fell apart.
