While they are the right height, the pin and hole underneath is not big enough for a Falcon leaf spring setup.

Cheers

damn, they looked the same as the falcon ones in the pic. possible to drill em out etc and modify them? probably not worth stuffing around with for safety reasons?

I just rang around a few auto stores and asked in they could order in the blocks for the Falcon Wagon.

In the end Peps said sure, what size do you want?

The next day they were there.

i had to drill out the ones for 2.5" as they use a thicker diameter u-bolt due to the length of the u-bolt.

You can use EL Spring Saddles instead as they have the bigger holes for the U bolts.

quick update, spent some time on the wags yesterday arvo.
went and picked up my futura seats :)
plus some new carpet pieces.

so far the back half of the seat is bolted up, but bottem is just sitting, so i could take a pic.
going to buy a amp kit soon, plus some more fabrics to do a few other bits and pieces.
main thing is to put all wires for speakers in and all the wires for amps etc etc in, so i can get the carpet back in, get the trimming back in.

the carpet pieces add a nice touch, not much of a big thing but look alot nicer then the stranded trimming, although was abit annoying trying to get it lined up to fit.
but shes all good.

2nd half of roof liner:
i ran out of contact adhesive when i done the front part of roof liner, so going to pick up more the do the rear half, and few other places, yet to be decided upon.

will have more pics later on this arvo, and hopfully the interior will be almost done.

well its been quite a busy few days.
but some progress has been made.

DOOR TRIMS/AUDIO
well now, i went through with the idea of carpeting the door trims.
as first it was just a wild thought that it would be ok, looked good in mind, but not in reality.
it looked so dodgy and unprofessional at first, but after a little bit of finer tuning, some minor adjustments and add some carpet/fake fur and you get.........

RHF Door Trim (Complete).jpg

at first i was just going to do the bottom section, but once i got the bottem half done, it needed a little more, so i did the door handle inserts and that set it off, although photos dont do it any justice!!!
but after it all im quite happy with the end result, its very neat, not over done, and adds a nice touch to the poor GLi.

now every one loves music, some more then others, some like it loud, and some like it no so loud...
well i like it loud but not to loud, and looking good but abit different from everyone else.
so made up the door trims to suit speakers in the bottom sections of each trim.

All Doors complete 1.jpg

and All speakers supplied there sounds be a nice new clarion head deck

HOOD LINER PROGRESS COMPLETE

before all the door trims where off, i finished off the hood liner and stuck it back in.
it has been left for a little to long, so just got into it, ordered in some more contact adhesive, and got crackin in this is how she come up, and as said before, photos dont it any justice.

wile all looks nice now that the carpet back in, underneath is a mass highway of wires, ranging from amp wires, the speakers, 2 rear boot neons plus few other little goodies.

Under Carpet Wiring Job.jpg

all of this seems like a small job, quick and easy, actually took a fair wile, part due to running back and forth to newcastle and back to pick up supplies.
anyways thats it for today, being 11:30 at night im quite sore and need a break, but shall get into it tomorrow get the rest of car back into shape, ready for blue slip and rego :) then onward from there.
