The only wiring difference is the BBM Loom. Just take the loom off your EF motor, and swap it on to the EL motor. You will also have to swap over the harmonic balancer and the crank angle sensor etc.

It is quite simple really.

Swap the coil packs etc over to the EL engine - remove the dizzy etc - and use the wiring from the EF engine. That should get you going without too many dramas!

the problem is the el motor doesnt have spots for the bolts the go with coil pack.
and the wiring, all the clips are diffrent, they wont fit were they sposed to go.
was ment to be strait swap out, as i didnt wana stuff round to much. but ay lol :P

The EF and EL engine are effectively the same, the only differences are the engine mounts (where the coild packs go) and harmonic balancer. Really, it is a simple job to EF-ify an EL engine. Save yourself some money, take your time and you will do it no probs.....

ill be having a crack at it next weekend, see how it goes, depending ill more then likly sell the EL motor off by itself and either get and EF motor or just sell the car for what i got it for.

it has tint, think its darkest legal, not sure but its fairly nice.

ohk mines got the darkest legal for qld if you wanna have a squiz at my gallery
its pretty dark
another couple p plater mods are pod filter nd catback exhaust

yeh i had a look at your waggin, pretty tidy, like your mags.
yeh i was thinking of a cat back exhaust but cant spend money on the exhaust with out motor atm lol.
im going to try drop the waggin next weekend as well if any one interested in that leaf spring mod, link below

if this was going to be my good build i would go AU motor :lol:
but save that goodo stuff for my EL fairmont 8cyl (when i find one to buy :P )

sweet mines on 2 inch blocks which makes it pretty much level if you get what i mean?
