Its a Momo Fighter, just using it until I can find a momo olympic 3 wood. (eb gt momo) and put my cruise pad and switches onto it. At the moment I have no cruise control due to having no switches.

WTF, why haven't I been receiving updates on this thread since like August :?

Lol, I'm still catching up on stuff. Love the list of parts that have been ordered in from o/s - all adds up pretty fkn quick hey!

Good to see the engine work has started too, must be getting really excited knowing that everything is coming together. I think I'm in love with that gauge pod by the way, pure sex!

I hope I start receiving updates now lol..

Well engine is in,, yesterday got the heads on and valves adjusted, exhaust back on, fitted oil filler tube etc.

Tomorrow I'm needing to get two small pipe plugs as the EGR ports in the heads have been tapped so I can plug them up. Once those are in I can bolt down the intake and put on the front dress.

Just need to figure out where to mount this bloody ignition box and I'm set to cruise!

Anyway, here's some pics of how it's currently sitting (intake just sitting there) and also some random ones.

How do you like the T5? Completely changes the car aye! Love it.

Yeah I had to Mick, there was more oil than wires :P Plus I had to mod one of the wires as I changed the temp sensor location for the dash cluster.

Got a bit more done as I was hoping to take it away this weeked but I couldn't get the intake piping sorted in time. So all That's left to be done is hook up the ignition box wires and attach the intake (alloy piping currently on it's way), then time engine/set fuel pressure etc etc.

It's currently got Nulon 10-30 mineral oil for initial start up/break in, but once that's emptied I have some full synthetic Royal Purple HPS 10-30 and a Ford Racing (Motorcraft) oil filter.

My Christmas present also arrived, finally. It left Germany on the 19th of December and only just got here, bloody DHL. It's slightly smaller than the original GT wheels, this one is the M36 (360mm) as opposed to the GT's M38 (380mm)

Think I'll get an M38 sometime soon, just so I have both sizes, and I do have two cruise pads.

Found a sneaky wee place to hide the Hi-6 box too, mounted it to the battery box.

It lives!!! After much frustration, the car was started tonight. In the end I had to use all the old factory air intake gear as all the alloy/stainless pipe I had bought was the wrong angle or wrong size (even though it was meant to be the right size!)

Also the new MSD leads I bought were the wrong length, so will be buying a custom set to make up myself. But thanks to a good mate, he had a spare set of msd leads that I can use until then 8-)

So for now it's got the factory stuff on. It's also running the AU V8 TPS.

First oil change has been done, and will be a long day at work tomorrow until I can get home and fill it up with fresh oil ready for it's first drive and WOF/REGO.

Here is a small video about 5 minutes after I started it up, at first it was a b**ch to idle but once I played around with the screw and fuel pressure regulator, it came right. This video does it no justice, the exhaust note is VERY deep and sounds awesome!

Most definitely, He will need the tray to cut up though. I could probably find one at the wreckers to use. I'll give him a call and find out the price, he did mine for $100 (materials plus small labour), which I thought was pretty good.

Were you wanting one exactly the same? He can do anything you want.

Thanks mate, Idle sounds glorious. However it's not running right at the moment, I've been out driving it tonight and it just lacks all power. So will check it out tomorrow, in the meantime I have some BF3 to play 8-)

Trademe is crawling with E-series V8's man!
