well an update on both.. xf first i suppose.
got the new clutch in finally a month ago, took it for a drive hoping the box was fine after the clutch died.
all is good thankfully.

i found out where the oil leak was coming from.. kinda helps if the top cover gasket wasnt rooted on the single rail lol.
some rtv silicon fixed that issue and whilst i had the box out i changed the input seal and out put seals. as i dont want to pull the box out in a long time!

did the first 1000k's run in with no problems. and its been going real good since apart from managing to kill a set of ignition leads.
so i just got a new set and plugs considering the current ones were roughly 3 years old as i reused them when i rebuilt the crossflow.. going much better now.

other than that its been good to have it reliable again and i can just daily it and drive the eb when i can be bothered digging it out of the garage
just so i can.. some pics of the clutch i decided to use.. a 3 bolt valeo heavy duty

oh nearly forgot.. fitted a set of airhorns to it as my stock horn isnt overly loud..

eb..
hasnt been driven much.. just due to finances and lack of rego
had a few things go wrong with it just prior that wont take long to fix really.
new leads and plugs
new exhaust (catback) as the old system is showing its age and is leaking badly
(kinda my fault for misjuding a odd driveway with a full load)
fit my 5 spoke mags off the ea
get another battery

but just before the rego lapsed (been paid since anyways)
i fitted a 1645 au 114 lsa wade regrind cam to it.
goes really well but lpg isnt liking it much cold as its badly in need of a tune lol
so when funds permit i'll be getting it sorted as it hasnt been done since the new lpg wiring kit has been fitted and it can actually go into closed loop now.

so im hoping for the mid to high 130rwkw next time it gets on the dyno.. higher i'd be stoaked but i'll be happy as long it makes the power reliably and safely
so heres hoping next couple of months are kinder to me and i can actually fix it so i dont have to worry when i go past the 5.0 anymore.

an update that isnt real nice..
on thursday i was involved in a accident. writing the eb off

what happened..
car 1 brake tested car 2
car 2 and 3 stopped. i hit a section of smooth tarmac and slid and hit car 3 shunting it into car 2.
car 1 drove off before we got the rego
so i was the 4th car in the mix.
all i can say is thank F**k the eb is insured...

the eb is rooted. so when a few debts are paid off as i had to borrow $$ to pay my excess and towing a nc-dc fairlane is in my sights.
that way i can use all the good bits out of the eb in the new car

but before that i finally got it running right with a new exhaust and tyres too.. oh well

had to rip the front bar off to get it on the trailer the day after.. it was already rooted anyways
