When did you get that done? My neighbour across the road worked for solace (up until last week when he was retrenched) and when I asked him about it, he said that they would probably have to charge me an extra $200+ to remove the old tint??? Probably why he doesn't work there any more :P Giving bad/wrong advice. I'll pop around the corner and see them on Friday arvo. Was also gunna get a quote from Altapac as they tint our work cars, so might be able to swing a good deal if I get it done under work name??

got mine done around 2 years ago, about this time too, as it was just before i put it in the AFD in sydney.

jusat checked repipt for it, $250, $200 to put tint on and $50 to take old stuff off.

theres plenty of joints around that will do it for around 200-250. give them a call.

Saturday morning will see two more mods ticked off. Getting old tint removed and new tint put on, and the second will be picking up my new 345 LSD from jastel. Won't get a chance to install the new diff for a few weeks with AFD on next weekend. I might take you up on that offer thanks BenJ, and bring ole paulmac with ya as well. What you two guys can doin a day is amazing........enough of the a** kissing :P
Give me a hand fitting the diff and I'll throw on a BBQ, we could make it a newie mod day at micks place  BYO spare parts hehe

Here is a pic of my half-assed attempt to fit a pod filter, and also a couple of pics of the damaged airbox lid. I managed to get my hands on a K&N service kit off ebay for $26 includes post :) . Just need to get a replacement airbox lid (may have found one thanks to svo-matt) and I'll be back in business :D
Fancy a mini cruise to liverpool KK's friday night Ben? I'll probably be going for a run down to meet up with Matt, might as well make a cruise out of it eh!

You may remember that I had an LPG backfire which busted my air box lid, well, thanks to Brett (terroristGhia) I scored a replacement. To pass on the good will, I donated my old lid today............to my daughter
Makes the perfect little playroom for her Ginea Pigs lol
At least it went to a good home :D

But that wasn't all I got up to today :) Dropped the lane off at 8am to get the window tint re-done, then had to make a trip to the dump to empty out the trailer so that I could pick up my new diff. I now have my new darker window tint fitted and have the new 3:45 diff here ready to slot into the lane.

Tint looks great Mick.

Looks like you will need to do a brake swap now.

Thanks BenJ, They did a good job with the tint. end up going for 20%. I will be fitting my brakes to the new diff. The discs on the 3:45 diff are had it anyway, but for what I paid for it, who's complaining :D

i'm hoping so banarcus, has good mid range power, but is a bit of a pig off the line. the recent mods have gone a long way to producing some decent power gains, but the stock diff ratio is holding it back. I was actually beaten by a V8 landcruiser at two consecutive set's of lights a few months ago ( i even switched the power button on and switched to petrol for the second set and he still got me off the line  ), so that was good enough motivation to make the old tank a bit punchier! (the missus still gives me s**t about the cruiser  )

Unfortunately the 3.27 ratio combined with the poor ratios of the auto don't make a quick LWB, thats why I went manual.

Underdrive pullies are good for that extra oomph, especially for auto cars. Gives good throttle response and better get up and go. I've got the single pulley setup on mine with the smaller drive pulley and longer belt. Good mod for the money although many regard it as a poor option and go for the "race series" for the extra cost.

If you're going down the thermo fan route, that would give similar results.

If you're unsure about the single pulley underdrive setup, you could try mine on yours and see the difference. Only takes 10 minutes to do. Perhaps on your proposed 'diff day'

I will take you up on that thanks Banarcus, will be good to finally meet and check out that neat wagon of yours. I will have a chat with castlegreyskull, and see if we can tee up an official FM mod day soon. I know he is about to attack his engine and could also do with a few extra hands. I can see this turning into more of a mod weekend rather than a mod day
