Just picked up my new(er) car today - id looked at a lot of BA-BF falcons and couldnt find one with few enough kilometers and a good enough interior/exterior then i stumbled across this:
http://www.parklinemotors.com.au/a/Cars-for-Sale/Lincoln-Ls and just HAD to have it. needless to say i didnt bargain as hard as i should have but still got an OK deal for it,

first order of business was to remove the GPS ariels and the stacker from the old japanese satnav and remove the reverse camera that had been fitted to it, next to go will be the badging on the rear lights and ill possibly do away with the badges on the front quarter bump strip and replace them with V8 badges. then a decent stereo (currently has cheapo chinese DVD/GPS that i loathe).

Then NO MORE MODIFYING GODDAMMIT!, well except for maybe some 17-18" rims (runs same pattern as mondeo/focus/volvo/late jag). it wont be getting extractors or a sports exhaust and definitly wont be getting lowered (maybe some poly bushes).

it handles pretty good, its more of a luxo car with power everything so ride is soft but not "ships ahoy me mate'ies" squishy, plenty of power in the top end (and sounds good) but a wee bit gutless down low.

overall its a MASSIVE upgrade over the ED and probably nicer than anything else with the same low K's and same price.

So what sort of dollars do these go for?? The listing just says 'sold'.

I like the look of it from the side, but not too sold on the front or back. Maybe a bit too much 'Hyundai Granduer' for me!!

Hope you got a warranty dude!! If anything goes bang, I'd hate to be paying for parts!!

Otherwise, as long as you like it, anyone elses opinion matters very little!!

Its a proper car (RWD) based on the same floorpan as the jag S-type/XF and the ford thunderbird (retro styled one).

Styling is a bit mitsubishi magna'ish front and side (which is OK cos i actually like the look of the 2nd to last gen magnas)

The on road price was $15K (same year V8 s-types are 10K more but much nicer)

No warranty as its 11 years old, but parts are DIRT cheap from the US, the only real worry is if the engine dies as ill be up for $2 grand or so for a jag engine (forced upgrade?) and body panels as the bootlid/gaurds/bonnet are all alloy so they cant be fixed easily and shipping would be expensive from the states.

im pretty certain the pics on that link are not of the same car as there are a few imperfections on mine that aint in those pics (and the ODO on that one has different K's to mine) theyve brought in half a dozen or so of these so it could be one of them.

im currently hunting down some rims for it and im going to get some exhaust parts today, so much for "NO MODS"

washed it and took some pictures, i am currently organizing some parts from the states, starting with a full leather steering wheel (current one has a wood bit at the top which is slippery as hell) and a factory woofer/amp setup.

im also considering (a lot harder than i should be) importing a jag supercharged engine from the UK, but i shouldnt be spending that much money on a car i originally said i wasnt modifying, and ive also found out that a mustang 8.8 LSD centre will fit the jag rear in this.

otherwise its been a trouble free car so far.

(the rear end still hasnt and probably wont grow on me)

its from a Range rover sport (4.2L version of the engine in the LS)

ive still got a fair bit to source before i can even begin to fit it. Starting with some XJR/XKR heads, a 90mm MAF, a cable and IAC 80mm throttlebody (the one with the SC is throttle by wire) some STR fuel pumps, a BIG transcooler and a SCT tuner
