I mounted my wires off a metal lip on the side of the tank.

Anywhere that has reasonable access and you can put a bolt in without damaging the tanks or the core.

Remember that the radiator does not come in direct contact with the body of the vehicle. It sits on rubber pads at the bottom and rubber mounts at the top.

Hey guys,long time no update!,my Samsung galaxy S3 was buggered by software update-so most of my photos still on SD,but ute's running ok-still sorting out a few things,Couple of teething problems-got the fuel lines crossed & tried to start it blowing a hole in the fuel reg's diaphragm,so with no pressure at the fuel rail (after sorting fuel lines) I had to find a new FG fuel reg which was not easy or cheap (BA & FG regulators are different,see pic),TPS failed so just replaced TB + cleaned injectors (homemade cleaner) replaced fuel filter,while at it I replaced spark plugs with a set of NGK's and Drifter coils,then thermostat stuck open so replaced that,I've removed the rest of the A/C gear except for the pump which I'll replace with a A/C idler later,aluminium tank & radiator work well & as SWC recommended I've earthed the radiator to stop any weird corrosion-so hopefully it should last & do its job effeciantly,the only problem I see is the cowling around the A/C (now removed) will let some of the air bypass the radiator but this can be rectified.

Hey does anyone have any experience with urethane steering coupling and aftermarket extractors,I.e the Nolathane 41066 has a warning recommending not to use urethane coupling with extractors unless a heat shield is fitted,anyone had any problems without a heat shield?

Hey guys,I rigged up my MTX-L with a battery to get a ruff idea of how far out AFR's are (just in tailpipe so not 100% accurate) but on idoling it's between 14.7 & 14.9,when revving it up it fluctuates up & down between 13 & 20 odd,I don't know much about AFR-can anyone tell me if these ratio's are ok,would appreciate any guidance in this area,cheers Johnny.

14.7 is perfect AFT reading.

When you rev it the AFR will give a lower reading as it is a little richer, which is why you would be getting a reading of 13.

When you back off the AFR reading will be higher due to the higher air content due to deceleration. 20 does seem a bit lean though.

Hey SWC,yea I from what understand 20 is a bit lean-but was thinking that maybe being just from the tailpipe that its getting a bit of air in on deceleration causing a lean spike?-maybe?-need to get it in properly (before CAT) to see if there is a difference,thanks for your response mate-cheers Johnny.

Hey guys,thought I'd have a go at my own version of a FPV starter button,so a 12v stainless steel button which has a blue illumination ring through a DC 12v 30 amp relay (miniature) and will go where my light switches are,also found this old carbie kit and had a bit of a "ask papa smurf moment" he'd know I'm sure-I think it's a 250 x-flow kit???- ah memories of carbie's & simpler times

Hey guys quick update,sorting out new intake box,did want to use a EF or BA box but BOTH way to big so I've modified the XG/EB box but reversed its flow-this means the filter has to work backwards but it should still filter the air just as good,so I'm testing it with a standard filter then I'll upgrade to a K&N panel filter-some pic's.

Hey guys,just repaired the odometer and fitted the new dial faces-was easier than I thought it would be,there were three teeth missing on the little cog but when I finished I took a closer look at it and the rest of the teeth had dissolved and literally rubbed off-not sure why maybe the grease used,also got some dial faces for the BA cluster but not sure on them yet-will be making an adapter between BA cluster and XG connections,cheers Johnny.

Hey guys,since changing the speedo sender the gauge has been out by about 5km so at 60km GPS the gauge is reading 65km,not much but am adding the speedo corrector anyway,from the instructions you set S1 to 2 & S2 to A,install link 2 drive the car-speedo won't work but the LED should flash when the car is moving meaning the module has set itself to the speedo,now you can set both S1 & S2 to 0 then you can adjust the speedo default being down S1 correcting speed by single units and S2 corrects in units of 10,so mine being out by 5km so I'll set S1 to 5 which should do the job,am just looking for the input and output colour wires and I will test it out,can anyone tell me if this is correct? Or do I need to use one of the other links 1,3,4 or 5 ???

Ok so I take it red and white wires to the speedo are input and output?,can anyone tell me which ones which?

Hey Mad2-yea they look daunting never having done one before but I think most D.I.Yer's could do it easily,I can't remember the last time I had a working odometer lol

With the speed sensor, red: 12v, black: earth, white: output. It is a hall effect setup, similar to the dizzy hall effect, so needs 12v to produce an output.
