I did some thing similar with my oil lines. I needed a line for my Mech guage, got a t peice from earls, it fouled on the water pump as well, so i trimmed it with adremel and all good now. Well done, look forward to the outcome

Well jokes on me it seems, i pulled out the wastegate spring and was the light blue coloured 7.35psi one... so it seems i have overboosting which means not good.

After checking where wastegate is mounted i did some search and found that everyone mounts theres right before turbine housing, from what it looks like im only venting one bank of cylinders while the passengers side is unregulated( i have split entry housing).

Very homo overboost ftl.

Very similar to the raptor, the turbine housing is too big for this motor so it builds boost with revs similar to the raptor so im going to fix that.

Once i re adjust my timing my lag will be greatly reduced see before it was set at 35* base timing and i was running 91 octane everytime i hit 5 psi it would ping now im running 98 i can get it upto around 25* - 28*.

I couldnt believe the lag i got from retarding my timing oh well it takes off when boost builds up, yo troyman you going to be at orange grove mcdonalds on friday night? me and my mate are going there then heading out to the royal national park.

Alrighty did some mucking around yesterday, put in new plugs n leads and set timing an tps now she goes great.

Funny thing is tho that i had set the timing to 12* and it was slow an unresponsive = gay, could still beat a manual elxr8 from a roll on if i used just over half throttle to keep boost at 4-5 psi.

The turbo seemed to spool very quick but had no oompf now after setting it to 25* its ALOT better on fuel n when you sink the boot..... nice, the turbo doesn't spool as hard but now its alot better from cruise speeds to boost.

Havent tried off the line performance, anyways looks like im going to get a cheap ebay wastegate like it cant overboost anymore than it does now so that will tell me if my tial 44mm is too small or rooted.

Correct timing ftw

Havent tried off the line performance but id say lag would be very minimal. Anyways looks like im going to get a cheap ebay wastegate like it cant overboost anymore than it does now so that will tell me if my tial 44mm is too small or rooted.

Well after testing the car and not being too impressed by it i picked up another turbine housing and some injectors.
