Got some more done.
Here's the mods I did to the pwr steer oil return feed. Normally it's a moulded in barb sticking out the back so I cut it off and sealed with a nut and bolt and put the new brass barb in the side.  Had to make the stainless O2 bosses because the damn speed shop lied and sold me steel ones!? ****wits!  Here's how the covers look after milling the extra lettering off and painting green.  The pressure sensor for the new autometer oil pressure gauge. There happened to be a hole already tapped with the correct thread size by the previous owner.  Front dress finished...

Dunno Ash,
Still got lots to do but I'm hoping to a least start the engine next weekend but won't be any driving it, especially as it'll be open headers and i still have to sort the shifter setup for both trans and transfer box. |

I hope to be building the exhaust at my mates place which is a little far away to drive without getting caught. I'll probably hang a coupla cats on the end of the collectors to act as mufflers so I can drive it there. I can't be bothered getting a trailer. Oh btw the idea is to build a twin 2 1/4" system with one of those dual in/out type centre mufflers. You can get em with a crossover inside too. I don't have the room for two of your typical style mufflers unless they are hotdog sized. |
