So all the knocking noises are just tinkering? Or just major horsepower upgrades? 5kw right there :p

Finally attempting to hook up the courtesy lights throughout the interior... Unsure of where the wires are that I need... I know they are black with dark blue stripe. But the car, being a Gli, doesn't have the key barrel lamp. I'm gonna look a bit more but if anyone can help it will be appreciated.

Completed the tedious task of running a loom for interior lighting in the doors, console and footwells.

Now i am not not sure if I want to replace all globes with blue LED's.

Any suggestions as to what should do next?

what i did when i wired my courtesy lamps up is strip away a bit of wire insulation and solder the new wires to it. I would run it from the Center console light if you have it or from the center console loom socket just under the radio. It should be a Green w/ yellow stripe and a black w/ blue stripe

If someone can confirm?

Yeah mate those are the wires I used. It's all done now :D what I did was got a loom that has sources the light in the rear of the console and split 4 wires (2 negative, 2 positive) to source both sides of the car and went from there...
