Yep this week I'm doing the 2 1/2".
I could smell it when I opened the door from whatever bits of wombat was cooking on the exhaust. Hit the drivers side of the k-frame which saved it a touch.

Hopefully this weekend the Manual conversion will take place. Can't wait. All the gear is ready to be installed including new clutch cable, spigot bearing, and reinforced manual pedal box conversion (used xrlane's idea).
Exhaust will be going in while the car is up also.

Exhaust is all welded up and ready to go. Hopefully won't DRONE between 2000 and 3000 rpm previously from straight through tail pipe. Pretty sure a few tinnies are to be had on friday night.

It still droned in the gli with the manual in that rev range. freeway trips gave headaches. With no resonator in the tail pipe it echo'd through the boot and throught rest of the car. Only between 2000 and 3000.

Manual complete as of this early morning. Drives well. Goes better than the old car. Stoked.
Next step is installing ghia door trims and courtesy lamps.
