Had a shot at the 2-tone for ya, also chromed the mould strips & realigned the front bar.

Yeah i like the two-tone i had a ZL Fairlane Sportsman it was Monza red over Thunder grey very eighties but it stood out - so many lanes are white (no offence dude alLWB's are ace by me) so this might be nice too! i bought it for $650 tidied it a bit drove it for 4 years and sold it for $1000

Think I agree with you, misk.
The grey lower would work better with colour than white though.

i think it would look shmick with some EF/EL white mirrors and color coded EA-ED door handles with the chrome strip.
but i have a very simple taste when it comes to falcons, i love the shape and im pretty easily pleased haha

at least there is a few options to take and the car looks to be in decent shape body wise, will be good to see the outcome

Thanks for all the feedback and opions guys!

I think I like the grey that's on Mick's NA the best, the charcoal one, and yeah misk, i will be doing EF colour coded handles/mirrors quite soon too :)

One thing I want to look into is if I can fit rear handles to the front doors, eliminating the key locks and just relying on the remote to open up the car.. i know the possible problems I could run into doing this, but its probably better than having someone break into the car and possibly steal it.

I know the VN-VS commodores you could do this, but I wanna look into if the holes are the same sizing in the doors...

Anyone care to shed some light on that topic?

Also finished my painting over all the primer tonight, so all rust repair is complete :D

Going to go get a new rear muffler and tailpipe section tomorrow, fix rear window motor, fit Kenwood CD player, and all new door locks/ignition barrel/boot lock :D

should be a productive day!

The rear handles are actually shorter in length than the front ones.

It is easy to delete the passenger side front as the ELs already had the lock removed.

You really need a mechanical way to get into the car, or at least the engine bay.

A flat battery would mean you can't get in the car, or the engine bay to replace the battery.

Cheers
BenJ

1/2 a point to CobraED!!!
I got the can from Autobarn, not BigW lol :P -- but it IS colour coded to my paint code :D

Thanks BenJ, I was gonna rig up some sort of remote mounted release from under the car in case of emergency... like a second cable and a handle under the car somewhere to release the bonnet, or possibly make it so the back seats could be folded down from inside the boot, and go a bit of comando crawl action! lol

I'm sure there'd be some way of mounting a rear handle in the front door tho... just gotta get myself down to the wreckers and test it on their cars 1st, not mine! lol

cheers,
spud.
