If you correct the Speedo mechanically, under full throttle the shift points will be wrong. The ECU needs to be correct for the new diff gears. I will see you friday night and explain

Well yes the 3.45 centre and lockright went in today and I am very very happy.
I was honestly a bit dubious whether the slight change from the 3,23 to a 3.45 would make that bigger difference. I am very happy to report that the difference is massive. The car feels so much more lively and when you stand on it it just goes! I can honestly recommend the change to a 3.45 is well worth the money and is a pretty good bang for you buck mod. The lockright is brilliant. It is very drivable once you change your driving style a bit. You have to power off coming into corners or roundabouts as when you power on the diff locks straight away and it makes for a very interesting drive. You do have to get used to the fact that the car will push through bends under power , but its easy enough to get used to. To physically move around the carpark at the shops and stuff is easy as. Same as 3 point turns. Only thing you notice is the constant clicking of the diff ratchet. To have a locked centre and not have to worry about killing the LSD giving it a hard time to me is well worth the coin. Cost wise it actually comes in about the same cost as having a good LSD rebuild so I reckon it is streets ahead. All in all Im wrapped.

Nah not really Ash. Just had to run up the shops before and grab lunch for tomorrow and pizza for tonight.
Yeah the look on peoples face is gold. About 95% of people give you the look of "s**t his diff is about to fall out" and the other 5% look at you with a knowing look on their face. Was good fun nipping across the intersection into the shops carpark in front of the traffic. Entered the carpark nicely sideways between a couple of cars............  Donna then asked me if we could go back out into the intersection to get her heart back where she lost it!

Ok well I have been looking and cannot find a couple of ECU catch codes I think I may need.
EF XR8 NF V8 Fairlane. By the sounds of it I need the XR8 ECU for it to all work correctly so it might be time for a J3 chip. Can anyone help me out with the catch codes?

Good to hear there will be a noticeable difference when going from 3.23 to 3.45 gears, i have a spare set of 3.45's to go into my 3.23 EF but was thinking i should go for something shorter to notice any difference. I think i'll settle for the 3.45's
 The lockright sounds like fun mate

The fun is racing people @ the drags, they think your diff is fuct then you rip a massive 2 wheel skid!

Well I managed to get a puncture in one of my 255 tyres. So while I took that off to have it repaired I had to put the old FTR's off Donnas car on the back.
Well we can all guess what happened................ I can happily report the diff locks up very nicely and leaves quite a sensational pair of black marks on the ground. Really wnat to go out and have some fun in it but I dont have a private area big enough to really have a ball near here so it will be waiting for another time.
