Ok guys, as I have already got a thread about this car on AFF, PES and Boosted, I'll keep this one fairly concise.
I bought the car in October, 2007 for $1400. It had 213,000km on the clock and there were a few problems that needed fixing which is how I got it that cheap.
It's a November '95 EFII GLi with all the farmers' options - roo bar, slightly raised suspension, cruise and ABS. Stock as a rock - until I got it...

Looks great! :D The engine bay stands out. Any 'random car inspections' from the local fuzz?

What did you paint your plastic parts with in the interior? I've used some grey pressure pack plastic paint & primer, but it still comes off around in some places (especially around the seat adjuster next to the driver's door).

I see your engine specs are identical to mine. Did you ever get the XR6 furel reg?

The bonnet is a Tickford XR8 item; scoops are genuine but the "Sequential" scoop is a crap replica. Never mind; the scoops are getting sold today in order to fund a set of those scoops being made up by XRFairmont67...

The interior paint job is done with vinyl paint from any auto shop; nothing special. I resprayed it about two years after I did it the first time, which is why it looks so nice in the pics.

I've been pulled over and inspected once; got defected for having clear number plate protectors and little blue park lights. They couldn't fault anything important so I got done for stupid crap. Oh well. It was funny seeing the look on the coppers' faces when they opened the bonnet - trying not to go "Wow - this looks great!"

My fuel pressure reg is the 350kPa unit normally fitted to the XR6 VCT. Combined with the stock AU injectors it gives a flow rate of 24.5lb/hr. I may upgrade to 24lb/hr injectors; this would flow 28lb/hr in this configuration and provide enough juice to support further mods up to 190rwkW. The current setup maxes out at a theoretical 165rwkW. It hasn't been dynoed or run down the strip yet.
