Nice vid bloke. Got any where you didn't miss 2nd gear :P

And our forum is working again (for now) so here's an update from me;
http://www.streetfords.com.au/forum/vie ... &start=285

As you look at the results, note that whilst there were less cars than last year, we were't just quicker than we were last April, we were actually the two fastest cars in the Non Log Booked Road Registered classes on the day (meaning we were both quicker than the unbroken WRX and Evo in AWD; Beau broke his Evo in practice and was also supposed to be in the AWD class). Next goal: setting more PBs at Bathurst.

Good going guys.
Be nice to show up the AWD crowd. Sadly around Canberra, they know how to drive, so I've no chance on the Fairbairn Park hill climb.

An update will follow shortly, and unfortunately it is not good news.
The video i will upload shows what can happen when i driver has too much confidence in his own skill.

Just goes to show how strong a SWC manufactured bonnet is.

Here are some pics of the blue car on the first run thanks to Michelle and Rohan Matthews from Dubbo who compete in a red MX5 and offered to take the blue car home in the opposite direction to where they live if Brett had no other options (hillclimb folk are awesome).

The attrition rate has been a bit sad this year. After no serious stacks from anyone last year (a few fell off the road, but nobody hit anything hard), we've seen two cars per round sustain enough damage to at least retire from the event, and some require a re-shell (a Torana Sports Sedan went nose-first into the tyres out of the Dipper before Brett's mishap and there were two more crashes on Sunday for round 3).
Brett's blue car can be fixed though (another car will be sacrificed for its nose), and #351 has not yet missed a round; we had Brett's entry for Sunday changed so he could run up Mountain Straight in my silver car to collect some points.

Thanks Matt, when Brett messaged me on Saturday I was suprised when he told me about the bonnet strength. Bit of a hard way to prove a point but. Not sure if I can fix the bar this time.

Sad to see the damage but grateful to read that nobody was seriously hurt & the car is repairable.

Motorsport is without a doubt dangerous, and you have some seriously big balls to go out & drive that thing that hard!

Cheers
