The plate si an Edelbrock kit, from summit. Points to note, it requires an aftermarket rail set up, as the fuel regulator interferes with the plate. Also the accellator bracket needs a little machining to clear the fuel supply line for the NOS rail. I only purchased the rail kit, as i already had a NOS kit in the car. To be on the safe side i would reccomend a 2nd fuel solonoid as there is a slight lean out on change over from no NOS to NOS. This is due to the length of line between the rail and the solonoid. To fix tgis i have bolted 2 fuel solonoids to the rail directly. And lastly you will require an PRM or RPMII manifold to fit this rail.
Holley do a similar kit, called the BIGSHOT, bit it only has 2 feeds and 2 bars than runs the length of of the plate. It can be ordered for the HO manifold, the Cobra/Explorer manifold or the RPM series. Check http://www.summitracing.com/ for all details and prices. With the way the Aussie dollar is it is worth getting it straight from the states.
Cheers
Brett

OK heres the list of bits and pieces that went into mine to make it work.
Fuel rail kit Mallory 4306M
NOS Kit not the kit i used, but appears to be the only one available these days, NOS Big Shot Ford EFI Nitrous Oxide Systems
Intake manifold Edelbrock 71231.

I would also reccomend a set of decent heads, some good 1 3/4 primaries extractors and a 70mm TB and matching EGR. Seeing as you are going to an 8860, throw in some 30lb injectors while you are there.
I can say that the stock bottom end will take a lot of NOS before it cries enough, mine has blown a head gasket once, and burnt a valve, and that is it.
Brett

When you say a lot of NOS... Are you referring to a large shot, or a long period of use?

Personally I'd cringe at using more than 150hp for extended use on a standard 5.0L bottom end. NX also do a system to suit the GT40P intake, in a plate system, they are excellent quality and worth looking at.

She has been taking 150hp shot for the best part of 60 bottles, or 4 years. NOS was put on the motor at 150,000 odd kays, and she is sitting just under 230,000 now. I agree, they dont necessarily like large hits, but my motor seems to be a freak. There are several people who have seen it with the heads off and can't believe the condition of the bottom end. The are still hone marks on the bore.

Well not much has been happening. The heads are finished, now i just have to get off my a*** and go pick them up.
Then the motor will be reassembled. For those interested, here is the footage from WSID from the night it destroyed itself.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TED60WcAXLs

The gear box was playing up and you will hear 6 gearchanges, not bad for a 4speed.
This run was a 15.7 at over 100mph, but was on the shagged/rooted street tyres, not the MT's
Cheers and enjoy
Brett

Well since i killed it, there have been many hands on deck and she is back together again. Was towed to Joe at Crescent this afternoon for fitment of the cats and a tune. Ley me say, 3' collectors for an exhaust is damn loud.
Updates to follow soon
