Just get a 1/8" NPT mild steel socket and weld that on. Pick up at any decent pipe supplier.

although i had a bit of a play with the configeration of the t piece on the cooler line,
1st off i had it on the outlet/hot line from the gearbox and general driving/ operating temp was between 180-190f, then under load/ stall up or "ahhem" short power skid the temp went to 220f.. i then swapped the line over to the cooler return line and return temps are between 150-160f cruising and under similar load the temp rises to 180-190f.. i can at a guess i would assume the pan temp would be in between the hot and cold reading.. |

Hey Troy,
Not sure if it is any interest to you but you can get an aftermarket overdrive for the C4. Not sure if anyone is the distributor in Oz though. http://www.gearvendors.com/f2wd3s.html Otherwise try finding an AOD but go for the non electrical model. The AOD was the 4 speed auto that was used in the states. Can be built pretty strong as far as I know. Only downside is it can get pricy. Troy |

small update, had some left over 3" pipe from when the hot side intercooler pipe was re made, so i decided to shorten the cold side a little by removing the large 90 deg bend that ran from the inner guard and some of the straight alloy section that was there from when it was supercharged..
replaced it with 2 x45deg bends and a straight pipe esentually cutting the corner and took out 30cm of pipework....  also removed the trans pan from a spare btr i have to get the temp sender bung welded in... drilled the hole and cleaned up the surface ready to be welded.. somehow i dont think im going to mig it, might be a tig job for daz...

should have removed the magnet before drilling
 it should look good tho. im keen to get mine in and working. much easier then trying to do it in line |

lol its fine, the magnet did its job, collected the shavings from the drill..
ill just clean it before fitting it abviously.. |
