i got the lady who crashed into me fined for neg driving, i wouldnt of bothered except that she hit me when i was completly stopped at the raffic lights for 2 minutes, and she hit me at about 50+km/h without even attempting to slow down, then she refused to call the police and then her insurance company f**k me around because she bull s**t to them, and she lied to me and tryed to say she was only doing 10 km/h and her brakes failed, if you look in my build thread you will see the car she hit that i was in and it wasnt 10 km impact thats for sure, i rekin she was texting while driving because i was parked on a 100m straight leading up to the traffic lights so theres no way she couldnt see me stopped

Yea lol
I thought all xr6's got the alloy tail shaft . Especially 5 speed with no speed limiter , I think it's not limited lol

Alloy one has to be Better than the steel one anyway .

How much you going to spend on a car ?

BA typhoons are pretty cheap . Or go better with bf ?

Woah! Sorry to see that mate. Its a big accident. A shame as the car was nice despite its niggling issues.
We had a guy go into a river recently in sylvania, I have NFI how he managed it but thinking now, it could've easily have been caused by the weather like yours.

The VX SS are nice, personally a sucker for the Ute (VU). A six speed in one of those would be a great car

Very strange that the airbag wasn't deployed.
Such a shame to see a beautiful XR end up like that. Onwards and upwards as they say mate....Look forward to seeing what your next car will be.

damm shame about the el xr6, but atleast you weren't injured in the accident, and were able to walk away

the vx ss is a nice car, the 5.7's have so much potential, my mate has a vu ss as his daily cranking out 600hp (which explain his loss of license and the ute being impounded already :P)

Just thinking of that airbag. I thought they ran off 2 sensors, one at the front & centre and then another near the firewall or dash(unsure??). I think the airbag won't deploy unless the second sensor is activated, stops the airbag going off in low impact accidents. Don't quite me though, but that's what I'm lead to believe

the air bag is set to go off after a certain amount of g's has of impact has happend, chances are going through a fence wouldnt do it, and going through a garage(depending what part of the garage or what its made off) wouldnt do it

airbag is set to deploy at speeds above 40km\h so the gutter would have absorbed the bulk of that speed, easily below 40 km\h by the time it came to working on the garage walls.

Cheers fellas....Wasn't too sure about the airbag and at what speeds it deploys. Probably explains why I've seen a few EF/EL's at wreckers yards with front end damage but the airbags will still good.

Mate, such a shame. I reckon gun metal grey was the best colour in the e-series.

To be honest, looking forward to it. The EL XR6 seats were so fricken high. Heard as well the latest series of falcons were the same. Looking forward to sitting normal again.

I drove my Dad's VT once. He had the seat adjusted all the way up and the steering wheel all the way down. Probably felt normal for him, since he is a bus driver lol.

Best of luck with the new car.

Thought i post up the right indicator.

The right front indicator as you can see is ripped in half, globe holder for the parkers intact but the bulb gone. Oirginally it was drilled into and wire securing it to the chassis as to stop ppl attempting to steal em as they so easy to pop out.

I found 10metres behind the car. Go figure. Have no idea how it got behind me.

Good luck with the new car mate, you could probably still sell the indicator in that condition they are so expensive LOL...
