Try these, had my last set on for nearly 18 months and had just started to warp, pads that were supplied with them still had 30% pad left. Stop great and pads work well when cold and even better when they warm up. Worth the money as I bought another set as well as set for rear. By the time I added machining at $20 per disc and new pads, Bendix $70, it was cheaper to get another new set. When I ordered them I got another set of pads for $20.00 to put on the old one when I machine thyem and put them on the wagon.

They have had a good workout, few times slammed on the brakes due to idiots in front and no warping Basically im happy SWC wrote: Try these, had my last set on for nearly 18 months and had just started to warp, pads that were supplied with them still had 30% pad left. uniacidz wrote: EDIT: And the tool i used was crap to unscrew the tweeter cover screws. None of my other tools can fit so back it goes to bunnings for a refund cos kinda broke. lol I use a security bit driver thing. Its a "L" shape. And works well. Once I've cracked the screw I just hold the bit in my fingers and undo by hand. I hate noises too I have a knock coming from my diff. At first I thought my diff was worn but replaced the oil. And it spins both wheels. So it must be tight. The noise only happened after I replaced the shocks. So I think the bottom shock bolt isn't tight enough . Has to be 70nm .which is f**k tight.

Nice work on the injector cleaning. You can pickup parts to redo the filters & caps on them for reasonable money if your interested in going that way, but looks like you have cleaned a lot of crap out of them!

You can get the "Shoo Roo's" things from Repco too. Usually kept out the back.

uniacidz wrote: Decided to give it a crack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFJlTfHyrUk Bought some AU XR6 injectors off ebay for about $50 a while back and been meaning to clean them myself To get them serviced is $30 per injector, so thats $180 all up. So i decided to do it the cheap way. Has taken me a while to get this done, been on the back burner for a while but last couple days been thinking of dooing it once and for all. As you can see, main important parts to get are. 1. Injector loom and wiring 2. extra wiring and aligator clips 3. 9volt battery, or even a 12v be fine 4. A syringe 5. Some tubing 6. Carby cleaner. As per youtube link above, is easy enough to rig up. The O-Rings need to have a nice seal. When you squirt too much into the whole thing, i found it blew off the injector so you may have to hold onto that. Also back-washing the injector cleaned out a fair bit as well. Parts Needed Attachment: Dsc03806111.jpg After only one injector is cleaned, you can see some crap already Attachment: Dsc03814111.jpg The device all sealed up ready to squirt Attachment: Dsc03816111.jpg After all Injectors have been cleaned, the crap that came off it was amazing to say the least Attachment: Dsc03817111.jpg After all 6 injectors cleaned. Attachment: Dsc03821111.jpg I must say, was successful. Now i have to install to the car mate does ultra sonic cleaning,1st clean to remove most junk,2nd for spray pattern and volume to match them all or oem std,3rd if required to match. Then change all the o rings and caps, the biggest cost to him.So 4hrs later,8 matched and serviced injectors,a learning lesson and catch up on bs in our lives.I had 3 sets done, over a few weeks. |

You're lucky. My mechanic was gonna charge me $30 a injector.I really havent gone round asking how much for others. Basically, you're lucky. How much you have to pay if you had to pay anything at all? Last night i decided to clean them further. Prob not the brightest idea, but filled up the tube with warm soapy water and then used some carby cleaner and cleaned it that way as well. It removed more crap which was good. I did wish to get the injectors properly cleaned but i think i did a good enough job and they all seemed to be ok. After resetting the ECU, took it for a spin and seemed to be smoother on the entire rev range. So to me, was a successful swap hi,only his parts costs-o rings and caps,i dont know how may litres are pumped thru each one in 15 min.for spray and volume. |
