Yeah I have seen a few sets of those advertised aswell. Never cought my eye really, anyone trying to sell these old ones try and call the RARE!!!! card. That puts me off straight away.

These rims have been advertised for $800

But they are 14x7 and I dont like the black centres.

The option 52 wheels are rare beasts.
Thats cause in my opinion they are ugly and crap.
The genuine option 52 wheels are an alloy centre rivetted into a steel rim.
Guys into genuine , concourse GT stuff will pay a mint for them.

Yeah dont think they are that strong either, have heard of the originals braking at the centre.

I have the same opinion of the globes. And then you get several PM's mostly on AFF sating that have noticed I have stock wheels, and asking if I would like a set of globes. Some cases they are trying to sell 12 slotters

Yeh I was never a fan of those wheels back in the day - there were Aunger mags called Hustlers I preferred...

Bad news guys, very bad news

I went for an hour long drive to see this the guy selling his wheels. When I seen them I flipped out, they looked huge

Turns out the tyres are 75 profile with 225 on the front and 235 on the back.

The guy told me he had a ford mercury marauder.

Image

We first tried to one 15 x 8 on the back. with no success.

Image

It was hitting the guard towards the front and the wheel seemed to stick out past the side of the car by at least an inch.

We then tried the4 15x7 on the back. Much more success this time but still too close to the right side of the guard.

Image

Just right really, but the rears did not fit :x . The rims would most likely be fine with smaller tyres , but he is not selling the rims on their own.

Oh well back to the big search

Cheers

bummer about the wheels - hey, don't let that guy hear you referring to his car as a Ford Mercury, though, it freaks them out massively! I know its the same parent company, but I've known a number of Mercury guys over the years, they hate their cars being called Fords!

hey xr-lane,

just letting you know you can browse folders on the head unit, it is accessed by pressing the A/PS button and it gets you into the root directory of the sd card.

cheers, bear

Hey its ok, Im more disapointed about the 2 hour trip. The owner of the wheels refered to the car as a ford, so he must be that one out of 1000 lol.

Cheers

Hey Ash, you are a ledgand :D You give me a little push in the right direction. Going to send a email off today asking for a quote on shipping.

They do have some dear rims but the ones I want are cheap, I just need to decide on size. Im happy with 7" wide all round. just need to decide between 15 and 17

Image

Image

Tyres will be cheaper for the 17's but the 15's with big tyres will look more original. Also you guys know if a zero offset will be ok? If I remember correctly, the offset for pre AU is not far from this?

Cheers
