I get it - are you mocking up a stock Fairmont to make it look like a Fairmont Ghia?

nop.... not mocking up.. i had crappy wheels, replaced them with ghia ones to make look stock.

then i said all i need is some ghia badges in the appropriate places and looks like a ghia outside. so it sort of came along by itself, cos i needed nice looking el model stock wheels.

Cut up your single din to make a double, its only plastic and if you mark it carefully then undercut with a hacksaw blade and then file it out to the mark it will look neat and you won't see the cut edge anyway.

Then you are mocking up your car to be a Ghia. People will see it and be deceived by the fact it looks like a Ghia, but truly its not a Ghia.

Fairmonts and up had body coloured side moulds. If I get another car to strip, you should cruise over to my place and see what you need.

The key is to be patient, or just make a single DIN a double DIN.

There will be one out there.
