looking for the bits to do a bench seat conversion on an EL. i've always been a fan of them and it would be pretty original.

actually they arnt that easy to find.

for a start not many old EF/EL taxis left..the last of those came off the road 4 years ago..also most were 5 seaters not 6..

yeah I love the bench seat too, ever since I had my valiant..got a bench in my EF wagon now and wouldnt ever change it...chicks seem to like it aswell for various reasons

Not to spoil your fun but.....
Do you know exactly whats involved in doing the conversion? floor park brake assembly, different gearbox bell housings etc?
I was gonna do one on my EF last year

Haha, not so original :-P but still cool.

MRE-50L and Waggin did this to an ED Taxi a few years back. Took the interior out of a Bench EF (EL?) and put it in the ED's interior, column shift, park brake, the lot.

Try doing a search for a thread on it (not sure if they did one...) or PM them.
