just buy a set of Solex locks to put on. the festiva ones have a common skeleton key. any screwdriver.

Solex lock are an ok deterent and take longer to violate with a screw driver

With the solex locks, make sure that they are secured to the door correctly. Solex locks are a very common mod to the early commodores, but they dont fit properly. All that you need to do to get around them usually is get a multi-grips, grab the outermost part of the lock, and twist the lock as a whole.
My brother had these on his VC, and this is how they got in. Pinched the stereo and the ashtray, which had a fair bit of change in it.
He has since welded the locks in place from the inside :wink:
