hey guys,

I am looking for the switch that sits at the top of the clutch pedal, for an EL manual.

I know that this will be hard to find, but any help would be appreciated (rather then the $188 that my local ford dealer wants  )

Cheers
Chris

I found an EA manual while at a wreckers and took the pedal box out of it for my conversion.

I hooked up the clutch switch that came with it only to find it was backwards to how the EL cruise system worked, so I couldnt 'set' the cruise at all.

With a knife, and a lot of patience, I opened the switch to see how it all worked inside. After a whole lot of head scratching, I found I needed to move the magnet in the switch to a different spot in order for it to work the way it needed to for the EL system.

So now you can look at all manual cars from EA-EL (and even XF I think) to find a clutch switch and modify it to work the way you want it to.

If you cant be stuffed looking for a switch at all, then you could just ignore the clutch switch and make sure you dont depress the clutch while cruise is set.

An EB/ED brakelight switch and a 5 pin relay will do the job.
Should fit straight into the factory bracket.
The relay needs to be normally closed when the foot is off the clutch pedal.
