G'day,
I need as new airbox lid for my 5.0L NCII Fairlane. Unfortunatley I just noticed that mine was severely damaged from a pretty big LPG backfire the other night, and it is split in about 3 places.
Here's a pic of the type I am after.
<a href="http://s285.photobucket.com/albums/ll41/micknkell/?action=view¤t=100_3243.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll41/micknkell/100_3243.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
PM me if you have one with price including delivery to Cardiff NSW. Or if you are going to the car show in Doyalson (Koala Park) tomorrow, i could collect it then. Worth a try :P
Cheers,
Mick

Hey Mate,
The airbox lids from the ef and el 6 clyinders should be ok to use, you will just need to bolt your maf up to it.

I just replaced an ef v8 one that was broken with a lid from an el 6 cylinder.

Bump!
Here is a couple of pics of the airbox lid that was damaged. I'm still chasing one if anyone has one lying around. I was going to try and fit a pod filter, but that was a bad idea  Perhaps some other time when I have all the necessary bits'n'pieces.

Thanks matt, you're a legend matey. Don't let anyone else tell you different :P A tank of LPG and a couple of coffee's will probably still be cheaper than a replacement from FORD. Now clear this up for me being a Newie boy, is Harry's and KK's at the same place :?
Might take one of your hands as well Brett, I like to have spares :P especially until I get my backfiring sorted  We'll work something out, matt may want to keep his now there are other options?
I'm gunna contact Castlegreyskull and see if we can make a newie cruise to KK's happen, might as well make a night out of it :D

cheapest way to fit pod in air box was to buy a 3" 45degree angle down pipe fitting from bunnings cost about $5 worked well ... :)

Don't worry matt, it was lucky I had a back-up plan :)
I might send bill a PM as I know how to get to westmead, but to harry's from there??? If bill's car is not ready, he can hijack a lift from me and show me where to go. Wadya reckon Bill, sound like a plan
