Looking or a EF or EL motor. TO my understnading they are interchangable.

Prefer SA and i need it asap.

They are reasonably interchangeable, but EF runs coil pack and EL runs single coil & distributor. You will need to retrofit whatever your car currently has which from what I understand does involve a little stuffing around.

You can't just plug in the ECU from the other model though, as the number of pins are different.

I thought you just had to change over the distributer to the CMP sensor (to tell the ECU when its at Top Dead.

Gonna pull my motor out, rip it apart and maybe do a rebuild later on with ALC race pistons, maybe try fit an AU crank and a bit of head work with a new cam.

Got one.

Fairman Motor's have a EF motor with 180 on it for $350. Going to pick it up tomorrow.

Now i need to know how to fit the CMP sensor.
