To get through rego I will need a few bits for my new EF.
The interior light is totally screwed, and Ford want something stupid like $75 for one, and my local wrecker doesn't have any.
Anyone got one?

Also need a new ashtray lid or the mechanism bits as it has gone floppy and won't close...
Ford used to list a repair kit for this common problem, but it is now obsolete...

Also need a new oil cooler, the one just behind the front bumper. I believe it is a trans cooler.
It has a hole in it, and Ford also want a lot of money for it.

hi there is it the standered light or the one with the two reading lights on the front

as for the intera light if its a standered one you might be able to get one from a vp - vs commodore as i looked at mine the other day and they have a ford part number on them and a gm part number.

Yeah it's the same with both style interior lights.
If it's the standard style you can also look at au's
if high spec, i think all high spec e series had them.

It's only got a broken plastic base there. Single bulb holder.
Is this the one that's also on AUs?
Ford want $75 for it!!! and my local Ford wreckers don't have any... :(

It's a 1994 Series 1 EF GLi.
The astray cover just flops up and down instead of latching in place...

Got given a good interior light base by my neighbour who has about half a dozen commodore wrecks, got one out of a VN.
Still need a lens though. They think they might have one somewhere, but haven't found it yet...

Still hoping on a free lens from next door, but if they haven't turned one up by the end of the week I would probably be up for that one.

trans cooler is fantastic!
I will be taking the front of the EF apart probably on the weekend and will try to get a photo of the damaged cooler to make sure it is the same before we go posting expensive items around, but if it's gonna work, I think you got a deal!
