Hey All

Now that I have LPG the Trip Comp is pretty much useless.

I would like to do a straight swap for an EF/EL Clock.

Cheers

Could you not make it work with your LPG? I am pretty sure that on my old EF, the trip comp was still working with the dual fuel. Or would that require the factory LPG module?

Cheers Snap, will await your next visit.

Ashcook, this issue is that while the TC appears to be working, due to the way it calculates the fuel usage using what is in the tank, fuel comsumtion (injector pulse width) and info from the HEGO, it is easy to see that while on LPG it gets info from the LPG tank, which is never accurate, still receiving info from the injectors, which are not working, and the HEGO which due to the different fuel is now supplying unexpected data, the avg fuel usage is not at all accurate.

Happy to be corrected on any of the above points.

In addition due to the fact that while there is at least half a tank of LPG, the fuel guage reads close to empty, it always is beeping at you that you don't have many kays left to go before empty.

Very annoying.

Not sure on the brand of the tank but I have the scuba type tanks which are apparently not much good for working out how much is in them. I am using a simple relay to direct the correct tank signal to the NL Cluster fuel guage. I reset the cluster trip counter when I fill up, and have worked out approx how many kays I get out of a tank. I usually run the LPG dry and then swap to Petrol.
