Hi guys
I have sold my cars and now I find myself without transportation (funny that). I'm moving interstate in a few weeks and need a cheap runabout until then. I looked at hiring a car but I can't justify the cost, would rather buy a cheap car that I can sell after a few weeks.

Looking at paying as little as possible, realistically $1000 or less.

Car needs to be in roadworthy condition, licensed and no major mechanical issues (especially head gasket).

Needed ASAP!

Why a falcon, should just look around at anything road worthy if its only a few weeks. Good cheap cars are out there though, I just picked up an ED Fairmont Ghia 5.0 on LPG in good nick for $3000. Bit out of your range though.

Yeah I'm only looking for a bunky that's safe enough to put the family in. I'm a big bloke and the car has to take my mrs, a booster seat and a baby seat so a Falcon or Commodore is the best bet.
