If they've come out of a Futura or XR, and for example, variable wipers and light fade was working, you can assume it will be a mid series BEM. I've got a mid series BEM that is 'Glacier' colour - you could argue colours forever.

and ef1 gli have grey ef2 and el is blue for futura black for gli |

the most common ones are
EF GLI have black EF GLI with factory alarm are grey EF futura & XR have blue EF ghia & fairlane have green i have also seen a EF ghia with yellow (this may be with factory alarm) red may also be with factory alarm |

Are the Low series different coloured to differentiate between std GLI's and police/taxi vehicles. . . . .
 I suppose not . . .
I can't find anything in the Ford EF manual to explain the colour diffs, unfortunately.
