Spoke to Macarther Parts Plus today in Narellan...........
$775 T5 exchange box price with 6 months warranty. $135 labour to put it in for me while I wait. $900 all up. I have to supply my own oil, they say - 75/85... What do you think?

What do you think? i just got a quote for the deal as mentioned above but this time from a ford wrecker i know in smithfield - he came up with the price of $800 all up, fitted and oil........ Whats the deal with the oils to use - ATF or 75/80? What is honestly better you think? ps - have anyone got the number for fairford in padstow..... Cheers

You MUST you auto trans fluid (ford recommends it!!!), as normal g'box fluid will cause the box to wear out fast, something to do with the shims inside.
Only ever used ATF in my 5speed when it was in the EB.
