This Blue Audi was stolen from work, 2007 model, RS4.
worth well over $160,000. apparently only 6-8 in oz.
plates are [DRIVE9]

was stolen from a undercover airport parking business in Tullamarine.
the car had been washed and cleaned and left inside for owner to pick up hours later.
unfortunately never happened. car was stolen from inside the building.

Any info would be great, or if anyone see's the car call the police on 000.

http://www.caradvice.com.au/2065/2007-audi-rs-4-avant-road-test/

this is the car, same colour, but sedan.

Assuming this car had a decent theft deterrent from the factory, sounds like someone had the keys cut?

Are their cameras there?

no cameras

keys were left on the car. because it was due to go out couple hours later.
insurance doesnt cover it.

so now the company has hired an investigator and there going around asking questions and they are going to hook up employees to lie detector machine.

Most places do it, bodyworks, exhaust places, most places I've been to leave the keys in the car.
Back in Grade 10 there was a bloke at school that had figured this out that what a local mechanic was doing and he'd go at night and take a car if there was one there, drive it around for a couple of hours and then return it in the exact same spot.

If it got stolen after they left the keys in the car, then surely theres more to it than Insurance not covering you.

Someones gotta be held responsible (not including the thief), and it certanly isnt the owner!!!

I agree, surely whoever left the keys in there is responsible. Probably why they hired an investigator as a starting point. I hope they find it.

Ummm,
I think you'll find it's against the law to be forced to have a lie detector test.
Just remember if they worked properly they'd be used in court.
From personal experience you can fail a lie detector test by just believeing you are really guilty,
You can pass by thinking of a differant question and answering that.

do you really think anybody on here will admit to stealing it or even seeing it ??? (as if we all drive around looking at AUDI'S)
if it is as rare as you say it is probably an inside job which means it is either in another country,in a million parts ,or a different colour with new VIN and SOLD!!!!! all i can say is good luck and watch where you put the keys from now on (15 years as a mechanic and i never left keys in a car for anybody )
