lol yours wasn't much better you hypocrite :P haha

I have a mate that works for westnet so might be able to organise something for you Walker. Only thing I can see wrong with the idea is that he's based in Perth, not Melb but I'll ask him and see what he can come up with ;)

Well I just heard back from him and he said the best he can do is a NetGear one for $160. He says there are plenty of others out there cheaper but he doesn't have access to them

yeah it's not exactly a cheap fix that'll "just work" that's like a top-range one apparently. Sorry I couldn't help, thought he may have had cheaper stuff than that. Good luck with it though

If you already have an ADSL modem the cheapest way is to just get a hub. EBay is good for network stuff.
Edit: Just re-read.. You want to go wireless? A cheap Access Point will do the job - again, eBay is your friend. eg: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/EnGenius-NL-5354 ... dZViewItem

I might be able to get one for you for nothing except postage cost. If anything it will be a Siemens Speedstream 6520. If that doesnt suit let me know so I know not to bother about getting one.
Cheers.

dc_todd bite your tongue son. After I posted I checked regardless and I might be able to get one. So nerrrrrrrrr

Hehe no probs Timmeh Timmeh!

I just looked it up and it's a modem / router, i need that because my modem is a single port USB so renders it useless for networking.
That sounds ok to me man, let me know if you can get, i'll pay postage and throw you some cash on top.

I tried getting a 4 port when i got hooked up but the f**k were out of stock, i got the very last modem they had for that week... It was free so i couldn't b**ch.
