Hi All,

I'm offering upto $200 for an EB GT / XR8 Sprint Power Steering Oil Cooler.

Also looking for the additional hoses that go with it.

Please PM me with any and all details.

Hi All,

Yep, that's a fair question.

An even better one would be: "Why not use the brand new EF Power Steering Oil Cooler that I've got sitting in the garage?"

I've been hunting up GT and Sprint Parts for a while now - and have spent quite a bit of $$$$ doing so. This is yet another part that needs to be located.

Either that or find the manufacturer and get them to make me one, or two.

Each to his own.

The money is here and waiting for anyone who has got one to sell....

Willy

That looks like the same cooler, just in a different position obviously due to 4L vs 5L.
If you want I'll get a pic of the one on the sprint tomorrow, the lines are just rubber lines, don't think they are shaped or anything.

Yep it looks the same. The lines are just rubber as it is on the low pressure side of the system so no formed lines needed.

You could always buy the one I have..!.. Only issue is that it is attached to a sprint and would cost $14,500.. :-)

Must do as they all seem to come with some form of a cooler, even if it's just running the lines out to the front, looping them around and back like my EF=.

Hi All,

If I recall correctly (and if the workshop manual is correct) the inlet/oulet of the GT Oil cooler is 'bent' towards the passenger side of the vehicle, so the hoses can be fed through the LH Radiator shield.

Looks like the XG version, although identical (as far as I can see) in all other respects, has its inlet/outlet facing straight down.

Will post the Figure from the workshop manual tonight.

If someone could post a pic of an actual Sprint/GT cooler, that would be great. We'll see if the manual is correct.

$14000 is a bit much for an oil cooler right now. Maybe we'll come back to this again after the Saturday night lotto has been drawn :)

Will

Morning Gents,

Only reall differences between the two, my brother said, was that the XG cooler is smaller than the GT/Sprint version - as well as the orientation of the inlet/outlet.

GT's and Sprint's came out with reduced rack travel (to stop the wider wheels from hitting the suspension (like my GT wheels are currently doing). Some also say that they also feature a faster ratio, but I haven't been able to confirm this.

Any idea who manufactured the coolers? Does the sticker on the side there say anything about it? I imagine that the same company would have done both the XG and the GT coolers.

Well done on the pictures guys! It's greatly appreciated.

Will
