Cheers...

I thought EL and ED pedal boxes were same... Meaning the bolts would be in the same spot... Anybody who has done a dash conversion help out here please?

Thanks,
Tim

Can I ask why you went backwards? Ie ED column into EF?

I want to use an EL combo switch and wheel to get rid of those damn pins in the back of the ED wheel that wear out all the time... Plus then I can run the EL cruise...

Did you run an ED combo switch? As the EL and ED ones mount differently...

Cheers,
Tim

Yeah when I did mine you couldn't get boss kits for the EF's and I absolutely hated the steering wheel was used to little jap crap steering wheels.

I am running the Ed center with all the ef arms so it all looks the same.

so you managed to mount the combo switch to the column?

How did you go about modifying the column to fit, cut and weld the bar joining it to the rack, and what was required to get it bolt up to the dash?

Thanks,
Tim

What I did was pull the ball apart on both rods and swap them over not an easy job or recommended but it can be done and what I did with the mount on the column was rip the ef on off and put it on the ed one.

One question for your guys with AU momo wheels...

I'm a bit turned off... Do they all wear like these two second hand ones on ebay at the moment:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-MOMO-STEERI ... 1c10563a14

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Genuine-AU-XR6-M ... 3a57d302c3

the blue part just disappears... This seems very cheap esp for the price of the wheel... Is this common?

And this wheel looks nothing like a momo... It way too... blue?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/EF-EL-AU-FALCON- ... 1e5a8fb6ec

Cheers guys...

I had a momo wheel took it off . It faded at the top of the wheel on the black leather the sun gets to it I replaced with a factory xr had it on for 4 years still magic because the leather breathes not like the momo. If you great a good MOMO check the leather make sure they have not applied leather conditioner on it it gives a gloss look that will only last a few months.

thats funny you say its because it breathes...

The ED version are fine and never turn to crap... yes lots of sun kills them but I have a wheel cover to keep the UV off it...

I don't want to buy a momo one now and have turn to crap thats all... I thought they might have been more reliable like the ED ones...

I'm now in two minds about whats best...

I'll make a decision sooner or later...

Cheers,
Tim
