Hello all, i am after a second hand knock sensor. For my AU S3 I6.
Now... i do have a mechanic mate trying to dig one up for me also.
Let me know who much you want for it.
P.S. Does any one know if the EF/EL knock sensors are the same as an AU ???

while the electric layouts are similar in ef/el. the knock sensors are completely different..
the ef/el has a knock sensor that screws into the block(it looks like a ecu temp sensor)
and the au has a donut shaped sensor that bolts to a stud on the au block.
au1-au3 are the same sensor..

Thanks for that info. I should check then to see if the bolt is done up tight enough  Then that is why occasionally it rattles its head off when cruising with very little throttle, prob not a faulty knock sensor at all just a loose one. :D
