ea to el t5 5 speed need to convert my auto v8 eb fairmont to a manuel. just woundering are the v8 5 speeds stronger than the 6 cyl ones. thanks

just so you know generally the 6 cyl box dont fit the v8 due to different input shaft lengths,

To make the conversion "bolt in" you will need a v8 T5 setup, or a few bits from a gearbox conversion place like dellow or crs. Neither option will be cheap.

That's cheap compared to what i have been quoted from wrecking yards, which then follows with something like "if we can get the bits".
